Everything we ordered from appetizers to kids meals, entrees and dessert was all delicious! The decor is amazing inside. Perfect for a girls day. Service could've been better. Was extremely slow, but overall good.

Not only Serendipity is my fave movie, love that a scene from the movie was taken here -upstairs. There's something about the frooooooz hot chocolate at Serendipity. When we visit, we only get the frozen hot choco even if they have an extensive menu. Fall or summer or any season, Serendipity is a good idea, that is if you can get in!

I had time in that pre-theater slot and decided to indulge and finally try out Serendipity. I go to New York frequently and it's always been on the list of the "I should give that a try sometime." I normally stay in Harlem when I visit, but this time I was in Queens and it was much more convenient to get here for dinner. First off: a reservation is a must, even if you're a solo diner. When I arrived, walk-ups were turning around after being quoted a lengthy wait time. When you walk in, it's an instant sugar attack. Everything smells so sweet that you feel cavities forming in your teeth. It wasn't overwhelming, but surprising. I was seated upstairs in the bright dining room. I enjoyed looking at all the quirky artwork and reading about the background of the iconic restaurant and its infamous expensive dishes. Despite it being packed, I didn't have to wait long for my server to stop by. For some reason, she asked if it was my birthday and I paused and said .....yes??? in a way that I thought would betray that it was absolutely not my birthday and would have laughed if she asked me to cough up my ID. I figured, hey maybe I get a free dessert? I don't eat red meat except for VERY special occasions and decided that the Serendipity truffle burger would be one of those times. It was so delicious and the umami was insane. It's absolutely one of the best burgers I've had. The portion was huge on its own and I tried to remember to take my time so I could have room for a sundae. When it came time for dessert, I opted for the Forbidden Broadway sundae as it's hard to go wrong with chocolate blackout cake (and once I was done, I was headed to see a Broadway show anyway). Next thing I know, I see my server come in holding a phone and she and the other servers are singing Happy Birthday. I wasn't expecting it to be a whole to do and was slightly embarrassed but decided to embrace the fun of it. My server was so sweet to record the whole thing as I was eating alone and she texted the video and photos to me so I could have them. That's above and beyond! The sundae was nearly the size of my head and as much as I tried only managed to eat half of it. I basically had to roll myself out of there. Although I really enjoyed the food and service was amazing, the restaurant's vibe of "WE ARE FAMOUS AND CUTESY LOVE US" was a bit too much for me, which is why I'm knocking off the star. It's still worth doing once! Treat yoself!

A fun place with great atmosphere, very nice, friendly, helpful service, and fun, yummy food choices. (The SECRET). If you can visit on a weekday, like we did, you will probably avoid the long wait and crowds. We had a noon reservation and breezed right in, and were seated immediately. When I walk by on a Saturday, or Sunday, I usually see a line outside. So, plan your visit accordingly. We live here, and our schedules allow for weekday lunches. And yummy sundaes. I suggest you look at the (HUGE) menu photos so you understand that the prices range from around $20 on up and up. Altho, I did see a photo here of a Brunch Menu and prices seemed to start at around $15. But, we did not have a Brunch menu, so I don't know if that may be for only weekends, or whether you simply have to ask to see it. We knew what we wanted right away, so we didn't need to see a brunch menu. But, I think I'll call or stop by to ask, because after writing this review, I know I want to go back again soon....there is some good eating here. And, for a very creative (huge) dessert, you could pay around $27, or so. My delicious dessert was under $20. And when I want a good, hot fudge sundae, I'll be back for this. I'll probably have to order the Mac 'n cheese again, too, because it was yummy! LOL. My lunch with a friend, we had separate checks, my lunch was about $54 or so, including tip/gratuity, but, I try to tip generously, especially when the service is so pleasant and nice. DEFINITELY -Make a reservation. When you receive a text (or email) confirmation , you will be informed that there is a minimum spend for each adult, about $18.95, and a minimum for children of about $14.95. Serendipity is a fun place and I hope you get to enjoy a visit here. I'd say definitely go!! I enjoyed my Mac 'n cheese, see my photos. I knew I wanted to have some ice cream with hot fudge, so I did not order a lot of food, but the Mac 'n cheese was such a yummy delicious generous portion that I could not finish it, and took some home in a doggie bag. I enjoyed my 3 scoops of ice cream with PERFECTLY DELICIOUS HOT FUDGE. I couldn't finish that either, but it was great! With whipped cream and a cherry. Yum!! See my photos. And you can even choose 3 different flavors of ice cream!! Really, does it get any better than this?!!! I chose vanilla, mint chip, and butter pecan. The hot fudge was PERFECTION!! My friend loved her Thai salad, and she enjoyed her ice cream and hot fudge too. She opted not to get whipped cream or the cherry. I enjoyed our lunch. It was Halloween Day, October 31, so it was fun to see some children arriving in their carefully planned costumes. It was a kick to see kids looking at themselves in their costumes in the mirrors near the center of the main floor, near rest rooms. The rest rooms were clean and nice. Service was great. Our server was Berto. Thank you Berto! And all the staff were very nice. So, if you are visiting NYC, or if you live here, like we do, I'd say you should enjoy Serendipity 3 at least once, to be sure. I love seeing Pegasus.on the wall. Apparently, so did Andy Warhol.

Where do I start! First Leo was my waiter. AMAZING ATTENTIVE FRIENDLY! Made my night. So much to chose from as you can see from the menu pics. To get in you must book 30 days in advance Highly recommended! Did the Infamous truffle burger and fries. Melted in my mouth! Looks small but is very rich and filling. Now - the whole reason to come, besides loving the movie. The frozen hot cocoa! 2 people ca literally share this! It is amazing a treat for the taste buds. An experience in itself! Walk around too. It's so eclectic! And if you love 80's music, they have your jam! Portions are HUGE! Again, thank you Leo!
